All weather is perfect from the comfort of this house. We rush home to watch the sunset, to witness the day's end into the sea. Watching the rhythms of nature, the sun and the moon, the horizon, it is mesmerising and deeply calming.
The first thought of the day is to look to the view, to discover the colours of that day. There will be the morning walkers with their dogs, quite different from the evening walkers. Then there are the weekend walkers and families who visit the seaside. Whole generations united by the sea and sky. People are drawn to the sea, they are happy here.
The world can feel busy sometimes, but you are always sheltered by the reassurance of the solid and spacious house, always a sense of privacy prevails. The presence of the sea is everywhere inside, the sound of the waves or a glimpse of the water. A real sense of place.
