Precincts & Urban Renewal
ConstructionCritical trunk infrastructure works in Central Highfields, including four new roundabouts on Highfields Road (at Kratzke/O'Brien Roads, Lauder Drive and Rogers Drive), realignment of Kratzke and O'Brien Roads, new footpaths and shared paths, stormwater upgrades, and underground relocation of water, sewer, power and telecommunications services. The works unlock at least 343 new dwellings and enable the future Central Highfields Town Centre. Backed by $20.1 million from the Queensland Government's Residential Activation Fund, construction began in early 2026 and staged works are underway through the Highfields Road corridor, with completion expected in early 2028.
