TAS stamp duty calculator

The State Revenue Office Tasmania charges property transfer duty on the dutiable value. The published table is the same for investors and owner-occupiers. Tasmania’s first-home established-home exemption ended on 30 June 2026, so this calculator does not zero duty for a first-home flag.

About stamp duty in TAS

Tasmania’s schedule is progressive to 4.5% of the excess over $725,000, after a $27,810 base. There is a $50 minimum on very low values.

Because the first-home established-home exemption ended on 30 June 2026, a first-home checkbox does not reduce the Tasmanian figure on this page. Check SRO Tasmania if a later instrument has replaced it.

NRE Tasmania Land Titles Office transfer registration for 2026–27 is $256.76.
