How first-home stamp duty works in TAS

At $600,000 Tasmanian transfer duty is $22,498 for an investor or a first-home buyer in this model, plus the NRE Tas titles fee.

SRO Tasmania’s established-home first-home exemption ended on 30 June 2026. Check the current SRO page if a later instrument has replaced it. This calculator does not apply an expired exemption.

Investors and owner-occupiers already sat on the same general table. Ending the first-home exemption means a first-home flag has nothing left to apply on an established home.
