ConstructionMajor foreshore revitalisation project delivering beachfront parkland, new community facilities, and coastal protection works across four stages. Stage One Northern Parkland (1 hectare of revitalised parkland with boardwalk, playground and coastal pathways) was completed and opened in June 2022. Stage Two, comprising the Central Meeting Place and Southern Parkland Seawall, commenced major construction on 14 July 2025 and is anticipated to continue through 2026 with minor works completing in early 2027. Stage Two delivers 6,500 square metres of beachfront parkland, flowing ocean viewing decks, a covered pavilion, terraced seawall replacing the existing 1960s structure, Changing Places toilet facility, beach showers, all-abilities beach access ramp, and a broad accessible coastal pathway.
